This is a theatrical series that comprises interactive edutainment sessions on the most pertinent topic in the contemporary world – ‘Investment’. ‘Investorpreneur’ is a portmanteau representing a lucrative combination of an investor and an entrepreneur. Every entrepreneur attempts to maximise business prospects and profitability to the fullest. Likewise, every investor looks to compound his/her investments over a given period of time. However, a successful ‘investorpreneur’ combines the winning qualities of an entrepreneur and an investor in his/her quest for maximising returns in the most optimum manner.

The series is divided into chapters and episodes. Each chapter would portray a theme, which will form the base for the episodes covering that chapter. These episodes would comprise interactive sessions between the main protagonist – the succesful investorpreneur and other characters, which would feed of the knowledge of the main protagonist. Written in simple and conversational English with a sprinkle of Hindi wherever necessary, the Investorpreneur series aims to ‘edutain’ you – a highly demanding investor, on the increasing importance of financial planning and investment. The sessions will help you understand various vital concepts pertaining to investment.

Alpa: Sure Nakul but after we complete Laxmi pooja.

Pinki: Mom, why do we perform Laxmi pooja on the Diwali day? Is there any specific reason.

Alpa: Good question Pinki. We pray to Goddess Laxmi on Diwali to invite her into our house on this day, to invoke her blessings, and to get the gold offerings consecrated by goddess Laxmi. This brings good health, wealth, and prosperity into our lives. Moreover, it is our New Year as well. So, what better than starting our New Yearwith the auspicious blessings of goddess Laxmi.

Pinki: Wow Mom! So, if we perform the pooja today, goddess Laxmi will shower her blessings on us. Yippee!

Alpa: Yes my children but only if you perform the pooja with full attention and concentration.

(Just as this conversation is about to end, Jigu comes home. He went to purchase gold)

Pinki: Hey Day! Mom was telling us why we perform Laxmi pooja. Where did you go dad?

Jigu: I went to our jeweller to buy beautiful earrings for my doll, a fashionable bracelet for my sunny boy, and a gorgeous gold necklace set for my sweet wife.

(All of them are ecstatic to see their gifts)

Pinki: Dad give me my gift please, I want to try my earrings.

Jigu: Hold on guys! All these are just yours and are going nowhere. Let us first start the Laxmi pooja and offer these ornaments to goddess Laxmi to invoke her blessings and then they are all yours. Did you forget what your mom told you just a while ago?

(All of them perform Laxmi pooja and are getting ready for firing crackers as Nakul starts a conversation with his dad)

Nakul: So, that’s why you buy gold every Diwali. Now I get it. But dad, tell me something about investment in gold and its benefits.

Pinki: Yes dad, even I would like to know.

Jigu: Gold is considered a highly auspicious precious metal in India. When we buy gold we buy it with a strong belief that it will bring wealth and prosperity into our lives. Moreover, gold’s value is backed by long history. Gold’s value has generally shown an upward trend since time immemorial.
